Future Connect Ghana (FCG) is an independent registered non-governmental and nonprofit organization based at the Upper East Region and operates in the northern and upper regions of Ghana. FCG fosters an integrated community development, expands living standards and support in the creation of sustainable communities. FCG prime slogan is “Expanding Horizons” for building sustainable communities through capacity building and services delivery to the deprived and marginalized people of the society.

In November 2012 a group of educated, dynamic and like-minded youth working in the development sector, got together to establish an organization, for addressing the most urgent and pressing needs of the people of Ghana. True to this spirit the organization was named Future Connect Ghana.

Bearing in mind their association with the development sector the group was cognizant of the plethora of problems plaguing the Regions. Consequently, the organization’s focus was not kept limited either in terms of geography or sector. Whilst intending to operate in different districts of the regions, FCG carries out a range of interventions in the areas of Agriculture science research and innovation, food security and livelihood, education, youth & women empowerment, Climate Change resiliency, sustainable communities, Policy and Advocacy.

The type of activities undertaken by the organization ranges from capacity building to service delivery, with focus on the deprived and marginalized segments of the society. Whereas in terms of operations what characterized FCG’s functioning are its efforts to (a) Enlist involvement of the locals when initiating activities at the grass root level; and (b) Promote youth in Agriculture, community resource valuation and management to bring sustainable community development, poverty and hunger reduction and jobs creation.

Although a rather new entry in the development arena, FCG – owing to the linkages of its members with national & international funding agencies – enjoys a diverse portfolio, characterized by partnership with organizations like Link Ghana, IDA, ACDEP, Green Earth appeal, Lush Charity Pot, Forestry Commission, Department of Agriculture, Municipal Assemblies, Ghana Education Service, etc.
